Lisa Thompson, the owner of the blog Self Love Beauty, and I were chatting one day about wanting and needing to collaborate together. Her blog's mission is to ensure women have self-love through feeling confident in their own beauty and feeling empowered one story at a time, knowing they are not alone on their journey to reach their full potential. My mission to make every person I photograph feel beautiful in their own skin so smoothly aligned with hers, that it was a no-brainer to collaborate together. When she told me about her Beautiful Me Campaign that she was doing throughout Michigan and beyond, I was happy to jump on board.

Here's what we did...Lisa interviewed 17 moms, of all ages, asking them questions on how they found self love. Each mom chose one of Lisa's inspirational shirts, that she sells on her site HERE, that best represented them. I photographed them individually and in groups and Leslie Perry Cosmetics did makeup touch-ups.

Luckily, I knew some pretty amazing mommas from my 2018 Mod Squad so I asked them to join in on the fun. None of these women really knew each other so, of course, it was a little quiet in the beginning. After about 10 minutes everyone was chatting, sharing stories and getting to know each other. It was so amazing to see all of these strong women come together to tell their stories. Here are some of the images that came from this amazing night that I will never forget!
