How the process works:

BEFORE:
Contact via email to request some great information. We will then schedule a consultation where we will meet and discuss everything from the client magazine, locations, clothing, schedule the session date and pay the retainer fee. It is best to limit the consultation attendants to just adults to minimize distraction so that you are better able to get all of the information.

The $300 non-refundable retainer fee MUST be paid at this time in order to reserve the portrait session date. Payment can be made by cash, check or major credit card. The retainer fee reserves your portrait session date and goes 100% towards your session and/or order.

DURING:
At your session have a blast and leave the rest to me! I will be capturing beautiful moments between you and your family. This is super easy and stress free for you so enjoy it.

AFTER:
A few short weeks after your portrait session we will meet for your premier ordering/viewing session. Your images will be beautifully displayed in a slideshow. From there we will work together to pick out your favorite images and create your print/product order. At the studio I will show you all of the amazing products that I offer including different portrait sizes to best show off your amazing images. The final payment is made at this time. Then, a short three weeks later the images will be ready for you to take home and enjoy!

NEWBORN PORTRAITS

Photographing newborns is best done before 10 days old. Please contact me well before your due date to book your newborn session. Then, designate someone to contact me when you go into labor to set up the session date. I will photograph the newborn at my studio or, if it's warm enough, I love photographing newborns outside, on-location. Once they are 3 months, and it's comfortable weather outside, they will be photographed outside. I am only comfortable photographing 9 months and older outside in the snow. Please email me for general information or to set up your session.

I are very minimal with props, I like to focus mainly on the baby. If you have certain props you would like to use please have them ready. I would be more than happy to work with your props. Your ideas are encouraged! Please put a lot of thought into the outfits. It's best to look on pinterest.com or etsy.com for ideas or shopping.

Why is professional portrait photography an investment?
Custom portrait photography is an investment. I realize that some may compare my PRICES to that of a department store studio but here is why there is no comparison. When you hire a professional portrait photographer, like Tosha Cole Photography, you are not simply purchasing a piece of paper. You are investing in the photographer's artistic talent and experience in shooting and editing, much higher quality prints and products, travel, overhead business expenses, very personal custom consultations and ordering sessions, and the constant close contact they keep with you to ensure your needs are met.

In total I spend around 20 hours on a client from consultation to delivering the final product. All of this is why you chose the luxury of using a professional portrait photographer. My main goal is to provide my clients with beautiful flawless images and most importantly a wonderful and EASY experience that rises above the rest.

Do I offer a disc with all the images on them?
The answer to this common question is: YES!

I understand that some of my clients enjoy the secure feeling of having their images filed at home and I totally agree! When purchasing a disc of your favorite images you will also receive the rights to print those images wherever you choose. I do recommend printing at one of my favorite and user friendly online public labs, www.mpix.com.
